TIMES AUSTRALIA, MALANG – There is no doubt that the chance for those people with special needs in Indonesia has been widely opened either in industrial or academic field. This is also what happened to Moh. Anas Kholish a guy with special needs who just got his doctorate at UIN Maliki Malang.
Anas had visual impairment when he was young. He only able to use 50% of his sight during his study. By 2018, he completely lost his sight. It was a devastating moment for he thought he would no longer be able to finish his doctorate degree.
He was so devastated and thought that everything was over. Yet with his strong will and the support from all of his family, he managed to finish his dissertation though it took a longer time than it should be.
Anas could finish his dissertation in 6 years. “I took Fiqh Education Model Based on Tolerance in Responding to the Diversity of Schools, Case Study in Gontor Islamic Boarding School,” Anas said on Wednesday (7/10/2020).
Anas explained that he was graduated from that school and it made him easier to gather the data he needed.
Toward his achievement in doctorate degree at UIN Maliki Malang he stated some gratitude to all his family that has supported him through the good and bad during his study. He bottom lined that being a person with special needs will never limit your life. (*)
