TIMES AUSTRALIA, JAKARTASemeru Team II has once again made a name for themselves by achieving an impressive feat at the 2024 Energy-Efficient Vehicle Competition (KMHE). This talented team of university students competed in the urban concept category, showcasing two innovative vehicles, one of which was the Akasa Evo-2, powered by ethanol fuel.

The competition was held at the Ancol Circuit in Jakarta from October 6 to 10, 2024. KMHE is a highly anticipated event for university students across Indonesia, providing a golden opportunity to demonstrate innovation in energy-efficient vehicle technology.

The Competition and the Success of Akasa Evo-2

Throughout the competition, teams were challenged to create vehicles that not only excelled in fuel efficiency but also delivered top performance on the track. Over the course of two days, Akasa Evo-2 underwent five trials, each presenting various technical challenges aimed at improving fuel efficiency and vehicle stability.

The results were outstanding, with Akasa Evo-2 achieving an impressive fuel efficiency of 313.02 km per liter. This remarkable performance secured the vehicle third place in the urban concept ethanol category. The achievement is a testament to the hard work and innovation of the team, especially given the fierce competition from other universities across Indonesia.

The success of Akasa Evo-2 not only highlights the quality of the vehicle but also reflects the dedication and teamwork of the entire Semeru Team II.

A Long Road of Preparation

The achievements of Akasa Evo-2 were the result of months of preparation. Semeru Team II began working on their project in early 2024, focusing on research and development to create a vehicle that was both efficient and environmentally friendly, particularly in its use of ethanol fuel.

Every team member played a crucial role in the project, from the initial design phase to final refinements before the competition. “We were very excited about this event and thrilled with the results we achieved,” said Theo, one of the team members of Semeru Team II (12/10/2024).

Looking ahead, the team hopes that this achievement will serve as a stepping stone toward even greater success in the future. They are optimistic that in next year’s competition, Akasa Evo-2’s performance can be further enhanced, with hopes of claiming first place.

A Bright Future for Innovation

With their outstanding performance at KMHE 2024, Semeru Team II has strengthened their belief that the innovations and technologies they are developing can compete on both a national and international level.

The success of Akasa Evo-2 at KMHE 2024 is a clear demonstration that with hard work, innovation, and strong collaboration, the dream of creating a highly efficient, energy-saving vehicle can be realized. Semeru Team II has not only brought home an award but also inspired a new generation to continue pursuing innovation in renewable energy technology. (*)
