TIMES AUSTRALIA, JAKARTA – Joe Biden must to feel so relieved for once more he was declared as the president elect after all Electoral College gathered and casted their votes. The announcement was lively relayed by several TV station including CNN.

It has been worldwide news that Trump and his allies made unprecedented efforts to turn the result of 2020 presidential election. This made all Electoral College of 50 states including District of Columbia gathered on Monday morning at 10.00 a.m (local western time).

However, truth to be told the result has been final. It is revealed that the country through Electoral College has chosen Biden as President Elect of United States.

Trump was hoping that several states such as Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin would go on his side after the re-counting. Unfortunately, they stay the same. They have chosen Biden.

Infact, in Georgia, the Electoral College casted all their votes for Biden. In California, Biden also led the number of votes and won all 55 electoral votes.

The ballots will be sent to the Congress to be counted by next month. It is estimated that the Congress will hold a prolonged debate by January 6 next year. There then the vote will be finalized.

In the evening, Biden addressed the nation and calls them to stick together and open a new page and unite.

“The flame of democracy was lit in this nation a long time ago. And we now know nothing, not even a pandemic or an abuse of power, can extinguish that flame,” Joe Biden said. (*)
