TIMES AUSTRALIA – Taman Safari Indonesia Prigen or The Indonesia Safari Park of Prigen, located in the cool hills of Mount Arjuna, is a popular destination for animal lovers. Recently, a young couple, Raka and Hani, shared their exciting experience of feeding animals while driving through the Safari Drive-Thru in their car.
Raka and Hani, who came from Surabaya, were both excited to visit the safari park for the first time. "We heard a lot about Taman Safari Prigen, and we wanted to see the animals up close, but safely," said Raka. "We’ve always wanted to feed animals in a safe and interactive way, and this place is perfect for that."
The Safari Drive-Thru allows visitors to stay in their cars while driving through areas where wild animals roam freely. Raka and Hani got the chance to feed giraffes, zebras, and even deer from the comfort of their car. "It was amazing when the deer came close and stuck its head into the car to grab the carrots. It felt like we were part of the animal’s world," said Hani, with excitement in her voice.
The couple shared that the experience was not only fun but also educational. “We learned about the animals and their diets. The staff gave us food to give to the animals, and they explained which animals prefer which food,” said Raka. The park provides a special food pack for visitors to feed the animals along the route. The food is carefully chosen to match the nutritional needs of each species.
During their visit, Raka and Hani also emphasized the importance of following the rules for safety. “It’s important to keep the windows rolled up and not give animals food that isn’t part of their diet. This keeps both the animals and visitors safe,” said Hani.
Apart from feeding the animals, they also enjoyed watching the dolphin show and exploring other parts of the park. "There’s so much to do here. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot too. It’s a great place for families or couples," added Raka.
Taman Safari Indonesia Prigen continues to be a top choice for a fun and educational day out. With its wide variety of animals and interactive activities, it’s no surprise that this safari park remains one of the most visited tourist spots in East Java. (*)
