TIMES AUSTRALIA, TASIKMALAYA – Situ Gede or the Big Lake has become one favorite place for the local community of Tasikmalaya, West Java to spend their time during their day off. The beauty of local scenery has captivated them and made them coming back for more.

Beside the beauty of the local scenery, the visitors coming to this place for some other activities such as jogging, exercise, fishing and some other more. Some of them just coming to hang out with their friend.

Some people just coming for the dishes served by the cafeteria. Yes, beside all the beauty and interesting activities you could also enjoy the local delicacy at the cafeteria around.  

“The ticket will only cost you for IDR 5 K. During this pandemic, people seem unwilling to go out. The visitors tend to come to this place only during weekend” Ridwan, the caretaker of Situ Gede said.

You could also have some tour at the lake by riding the boat that rented by the management. It will only cost you for IDR 10 K/ticket.

“I love do my exercise at this lake. Yet this place still needs a little more attention from the government. Several area needs to be repaired for the comfortability of the visitors,” Yanan, a local visitor of Situ Gede, Tasikmalaya, West Java said. (*)
