TURKIYouth Break the Boundaries Foundation successfully hosted the Istanbul Youth Summit (IYS) 2026 from February 9 to 12, 2026, at Golden City Tulip Hotel Avenue in Istanbul. The program brought together young leaders from various countries in a collaborative environment designed to strengthen global perspectives, leadership capacity, and innovative thinking.

Through this international platform, participants were encouraged to exchange ideas and develop solutions relevant to today’s global challenges. The summit ultimately served as a transformative learning experience for emerging youth leaders.

Throughout the four-day program, participants engaged in leadership sessions, project presentations, interactive discussions, and cross-cultural exchanges guided by international experts. In addition, delegates experienced academic exposure through institutional visits and explored the cultural richness of Istanbul, a city bridging Asia and Europe.

These activities not only enhanced participants’ knowledge but also strengthened international networks that may shape their future academic and professional journeys. As a result, the summit became more than just a conference, evolving into a meaningful platform for global growth.

The highlight of the event was the official announcement of winners through Decree Number 01.238/SK/YBB-IYS/II/2026, recognizing outstanding achievements in innovation, leadership, and collaboration.

In the Future Innovator Category, Group 4 secured first place, represented by Muhammad Yasar, Eusoff Uthman Zyad Bin Abdoul Karim Toure, and Amna Maqsood. Second place was awarded to Group 5, consisting of Icha Choirunisa, Amerzish Zulfiqar Malik, and Indhira Regina. Meanwhile, third place went to Group 3 with Khikmatillo Nematov, Malikha Haula Karimah, and M. Alhafiz Arya Wardhana.

In the Senior High School Category, Group 6 claimed first place with members M. Firnas Affandi, Albir Muhammad Muhajir, M. Akmal Faeyza, Zavier Zashan Ruzain, Azmmi Aflah Sabrain, and Raden Diandra Alfaridzi Darmanto.

Second place was awarded to Group 7, represented by Haikal Muhammad Akbar, M. Hylmi Ariandi Mahruzza, Safaraz Akma Fadil, Ilham Pratama, Zavier Atharrayhan Razqa, and Naufal Abdul Aziz. Third place went to Group 1, consisting of Anwar Mayar and Nurzada Syidalyeva.

Special recognitions were also awarded to outstanding individuals and teams. Group 6 was named Best Group, highlighting their exceptional teamwork and performance throughout the summit. M. Firnas Affandi received the Best Leader award, while Malikha Haula Karimah was recognized as Best Participant.

In the Best Presenter Category, Bahman Ahmadi won in the Future Innovator Category, and Haikal Muhammad Akbar received the award in the Senior High School Category. The Best Costume Award was presented to Zavier Zashan Ruzain and Nuray Eran Türedi.

Beyond the competition, the summit featured inspiring speakers from diverse professional backgrounds. Khadeeja Ather emphasized the importance of empathy in innovation. 

“Innovation only becomes meaningful when it truly impacts human lives. As young leaders, you must start by understanding people, not just problems or trends,” said Khadeeja Ather during her session at Istanbul Youth Summit 2026 (10/2/2026).

Mehmet Savur shared insights on global education opportunities and academic diplomacy.

Mohamed Bahgat highlighted the role of learning innovation in shaping future leaders, and Dr. Şahin Yaman discussed international trade and global economic transformation. Their contributions provided both theoretical insights and practical knowledge for participants.

Through Istanbul Youth Summit 2026, the global community witnessed how youth innovation, collaboration, and leadership can create meaningful international impact. The program not only celebrated winners but also showcased the collective dedication of young individuals committed to building a more inclusive and sustainable future. (*)
