TIMES AUSTRALIA, BANYUWANGI – Nestled in Dusun Pancer, Sumberagung Village, Pesanggaran District, Pulau Bedil has rapidly emerged as a top-tier tourist destination in Banyuwangi.

Within just a few days of gaining public attention, the island attracted thousands of eager visitors, drawn by its untouched beauty and adventurous charm. Often referred to as the "Raja Ampat of East Java," Pulau Bedil offers a captivating blend of terrestrial and underwater wonders.

The Allure of Pulau Bedil

Pulau Bedil’s remote location adds to its mystique, luring travelers who crave pristine landscapes and off-the-beaten-path experiences. The island is framed by crystal-clear lagoons that shift in shades of turquoise and emerald, surrounded by clusters of exotic islets.

One of the best vantage points is Puncak Kemuning, a scenic hilltop that offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the entire area—perfect for sunrise or sunset watchers and photography enthusiasts.

Underneath the surface, the island hides an even richer treasure. Pulau Bedil’s waters are home to a thriving marine ecosystem, ideal for snorkeling, diving, and swimming. Coral reefs teem with colorful fish and marine creatures, making it a favorite spot for underwater adventurers.

Easy Access, Seamless Adventures

Despite its seemingly remote location, Pulau Bedil is surprisingly accessible. Visitors can reach the island from two main entry points: Pantai Mustika and Pantai Cemara Konservasi, both situated in Dusun Pancer.

It takes about two hours to drive from downtown Banyuwangi, but the journey is smooth thanks to excellent road infrastructure. The roads leading to Dusun Pancer are reportedly even better maintained than those in central Banyuwangi.

More Than Just a Beach

What sets Pulau Bedil apart is its holistic appeal. Beyond its natural beauty, the destination also offers a taste of local culture and cuisine.

Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood dishes, explore traditional fishing villages, or even join eco-tourism activities designed to preserve the environment and empower local communities.

“This destination brings together breathtaking nature, thrilling adventures, and delicious local flavors in a truly harmonious experience," Ainur Rofiq, Head of Marketing at the Banyuwangi Department of Culture and Tourism said.

With soaring visitor interest, stunning natural assets, and strong community involvement, Pulau Bedil is poised to become one of Indonesia’s premier marine destinations. This place promises an unforgettable escape—far from the crowds, yet close to paradise.
